Very dissatisfied with product quality.
Date:October 14, 2011
Pros: Good Value
Cons: Poor Quality
I purchased this product because I have had experience with Singer machines before. I have owed it for a year and the find the reverse stitch lever doesn't work. It sews well but without the back-stitch it is of no use.

Totally Not Worth The Money
Date:October 4, 2011
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: Poor Quality
My Grandmother picked this machine up for me and drove to bring it to me. It worked fine at first and then it started to loose tension and bunch the thread up. I have tried a number of different needles and three different bobbins/threads. Nothing changed.

great machine
Date:July 18, 2011
I got this after reading the reviews there were a lot of negative, but after seeing the machine in the store it is just what I wanted for the price, I am glad I got this machine. It is very easy to thread all you have to do is follow the step by step in manual, I was able to thread the machine and go and its very light, easy to lift. Great buy great machine.

Little Workhorse
Date:June 7, 2011
Pros: Good Value, Great Features, Easy to Use, High Quality
This is a great little machine. I have to remember its limitations though. I worked with a SailRite Industrial machine with zigzag walking foot. And then a German made Singer 401G. I swear those machines will nearly sew sheet metal! This machine is certainly not in league with those. And unfortunately I'm a rank amateur at all of this so the machine is not fairly treated. I'm leaning needles and basic stitches for making 'guy stuff'. This machine is easy to thread, easy to wind bobbins and change needles and needs little maintenance. Heavy fabrics and heavy thread are essentials for me and I break a lot of needles, but I am amazed at the capabilities of this little guy. Making machine covers and parts bags from Duck Cloth are not a problem, Hemming denim and making draw string bags - no problem. Replacing the zipper in a lawn vac cost me several needles but that was my inexperience coming through. I quickly learned what not to do and the results are great. This 2932 will take me to the point where a heavier free arm deep throat machine will take over. This machine is teaching me what to look for when I upgrade, but it will stay nearby just because it's so darned handy!

I purchased this machine to replace a 35 year old Singer. I wanted some of the modern features such as the auto button hole and the threader. I don't sew much but wanted a dependable machine. I needed to make a pageant outfit for my granddaughter and this machine did the job very nicely.

Great for a Beginner
Date:January 30, 2011
Pros: Good Value, Easy to Use
I got my machine as a Christmas gift. I used it to make new curtains for my living room. I found the machine easy to use and the manual to be very helpful when I had questions. I think this is a great little machine to get the job done. If I were more advanced I may need more options but for what I use it for it's great.

I Love My Machine
Date:January 3, 2011
Pros: Good Value, Great Features, Easy to Use
Cons: bobbin case
I bought my machine 2 years ago after a very long break from sewing, just wanted a basic, affordable sewing machine to get back into sewing. And back I am......
I have really put this sewing machine to test. I sew almost everyday for what can be hours at a time. She is such a little "work horse". Yes, my machine is a she and her name is Nelly! I couldn't ask for a better machine, except my next one will have a drop in bobbin...that's my dream!
In the beginning, however, I had quite a hard time with the bobbin getting "caught up", thread jams, etc. I realized that the actual bobbin makes a huge difference (can't use the new plastic bobbins that are curved to the inside). Also, you have to keep the bobbin case totally free of lint, etc.
Now, everytime I change the bobbin, I clean out the casing with my brush. Minimal problems at this point!
Thank you Singer for making an affordable machine that has given me many hours of enjoyment!

A lot of frustration
Date:August 28, 2010
I bought this sewing machine 1.5 yrs ago and I've had nothing but trouble. I've been sewing for a long time and I've never had to deal with threads being stuck as much as this one. I spend more time fixing the thread from the machine and from my project then actually sewing. I'm a fan of Martha Stewart's crafty styles and ideas and thought this would be a great machine to have. I've also used different products from Singer before and was quite satisfied. I've tried viewing the video on this machine to see if I can figure out whats causing the thread tangles, but didn't see anything. I don't know what else to do, except that this machine wasn't what I thought it was, except a bad experience machine.
